PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

Dear State Street Elementary Families,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of State Street Elementary. I am truly honored to join such a vibrant and diverse school community, and I look forward to working together to support the success of every child.

I bring over 27 years of experience in education, including 19 years as a classroom teacher and several years serving in leadership roles such as Intervention Coordinator, Magnet Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. Throughout my career, I have always been guided by a deep belief in educational equity and the importance of creating safe, supportive, and engaging learning environments for all students.

Most recently, I served as the Assistant Principal at Fishburn Avenue Elementary, where I had the opportunity to work alongside amazing educators and families to create strong partnerships and ensure that students thrived both academically and emotionally. Supporting students and building community has always been at the heart of my work.

As I begin this new journey at State Street Elementary, I am committed to ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education that is inclusive, culturally responsive, and tailored to their unique strengths and needs. I look forward to working closely with teachers, staff, and you our families to continue creating a school where all students feel valued, capable, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I believe that strong schools are built on communication, trust, and collaboration, and I am excited to listen, learn, and partner with you in the important work ahead.

Queridas familias de State Street Elementary:

Es con gran entusiasmo y gratitud que me presento como la nueva directora de State Street Elementary. Me siento verdaderamente honrada de unirme a una comunidad escolar tan vibrante y diversa, y espero trabajar junto a ustedes para apoyar el éxito de cada uno de nuestros estudiantes.

Cuento con más de 27 años de experiencia en el campo de la educación, incluyendo 19 años como maestra en el salón de clases y varios años en cargos de liderazgo como Coordinadora de Intervención, Coordinadora de Programas Magnet y Subdirectora. A lo largo de mi carrera, siempre me ha guiado una profunda creencia en la equidad educativa y la importancia de crear entornos de aprendizaje seguros, inclusivos y estimulantes para todos los estudiantes.

Más recientemente, me desempeñé como Subdirectora en Fishburn Avenue Elementary, donde tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con educadores y familias comprometidas para crear sólidas alianzas y asegurar que los estudiantes prosperaran tanto académica como emocionalmente. Apoyar a los estudiantes y fortalecer la comunidad siempre ha sido el corazón de mi labor.

Al comenzar esta nueva etapa en State Street Elementary, me comprometo a garantizar que cada niño reciba una educación de alta calidad, inclusiva, culturalmente relevante y adaptada a sus fortalezas y necesidades individuales. Espero colaborar estrechamente con los maestros, el personal escolar y ustedes, nuestras familias, para continuar construyendo una escuela donde todos los estudiantes se sientan valorados, capaces e inspirados a alcanzar su máximo potencial.
